About Us

Youth Haven Ranch in Pleasant Valley, Inc. is a non-profit
youth service organization founded by Jeffrey L. Moody (center)
and Stephanie Moody, and supported by Pastor Carlis L. Moody,
Jr. (left) and Bishop Carlis L. Moody, Sr. (right).
Although Youth Haven Ranch was founded back in 1988 to
provide a safe environment for Faith Christian Academy, and
other youth organizations to enjoy youth recreation and
summer camps; over the years, we’ve acknowledged the
increasing need to focus our energy and resources toward
the personal development of our youth in several key areas
that affect their lives.

Statement of Purpose:
Youth Haven Ranch in Pleasant Valley is a community of
supportive services, recreation, and sober living for homeless
and at-risk youth. Our community is a partnership between
residents, staff, sponsors, mentors, volunteers, youth homes
and organizations from surrounding communities. This
partnership has been formed to fulfill the goals of our
programs and ensure a successful transition from homelessness
and addiction to sobriety and self sufficiency.
Program participants and residents move from being alone,
afraid, ashamed and depressed to becoming self-confident,
independent, productive, self-supporting members of the
community.
Our facility is a caring and supportive environment,
existing to provide an arena for intellectual, emotional, and
spiritual growth, as well as a nurturing place to strengthen
recovery and sobriety, and to develop the tools for living life
as self sufficient, contributing members of society.
We desire to assist in the development of young people who
are capable of making responsible life decisions; young people
who hold deep, real, and meaningful practical and spiritual
values; young people who have a strong understanding of the
twelve-steps, or other recovery principals, and apply them in
all of their affairs; young people who can become truly whole
and educated human beings, young people who make the transition
from homeless to homeowner, or renter, and young people who
live a fulfilling life as a gainfully employed, self sufficient
person in recovery as a direct result of their involvement with
Youth Haven Ranch.
Our Mission Statement:
Youth Haven Ranch works to build better future for
disadvantaged youth and their families. Our mission is to
empower youth who are homeless, abandon, abused, or at risk to
become positive leaders in their communities, and lead healthly
productive lives.
Our Vision:
Youth Haven Ranch envisions involvement, directly or by
referral, in the development of hundreds of happy and healthy
youth, free from government assistance, who participate in the
economic growth of our community as productive citizens.
Our Goal:
Youth Haven Ranch helps at risk youth and struggling young
adults, ages 15-21 become productive and self-sufficient by
teaching life values and life skills necessary to live
independently in the real world.
